The conference, being the main event of the general meeting, took place on 28 September, at Riga Graduate School of Law. In addition to the discussions on European Law Firm internal affairs, Ferry Weelen, partner at Holla advocaten, presented comparative aspects of franchising law in various European jurisdictions and raised some ethical aspects of Dutch franchising relations. Whereas Jan van Tilburg introduced the Corporate Tax Alliance – a network of European and International tax specialists – and presented tax implications for the various supply chain distribution models.
