We are happy that our colleague Kalvis Logins has been invited to be one of the coaches for Riga Graduate School of Law (the RGSL) team, which will be participating in the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (the VisMoot) competition. It is the largest and most recognized moot court in the field of commercial arbitration with over 300 teams participating each year and representing universities globally. Moreover, there are more than 20 pre-moot events annually before the main moot court in Vienna. Kalvis will support and assist the team in preparation for the oral rounds by sharing his experience and acquired knowledge in various moot courts.
Kalvis is a graduate of RGSL and this summer has graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a Master’s degree in the International and European Law program, International Trade and Investment Law track. During his studies at RGSL, Kalvis himself has participated in the VisMoot competition of 2019/2020, where the team of RGSL earned the 2nd place in pre-moot rounds organized in Minsk. Moreover, while studying at the University of Amsterdam Kalvis participated in Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, where together with his team he earned the 3rd place overall, which was the best result in the history of the university.
