Dāvis Siminaitis, the founder of “Sports ikvienam” (Sport for everyone), is a professional ski instructor and specialises in ski training for people with functional disabilities. His passion and commitment have made him a leading figure in the field, opening up new opportunities for people who might otherwise find it difficult to participate in the sport.
This was the fourth ski season that the Sports for everyone team provided free downhill ski lessons for people with functional disabilities. More than ninety lessons were given this season.
Being asked about the future plans for this spring and summer season, Dāvis admits that this season promises to be full of events, and the Sports for everyone team can be met at the race “Around Cesis” (April 27), Rimi Riga marathon (18-19 May), as well as other races, including Ventspils half marathon, Liepāja half marathon, Jelgava Night half marathon, Kuldīga half marathon, We Run Riga 2024 as well as Daugavpils race.
In an interview with the newspaper “Druva” Dāvis emphasises the support of partners and supporters: “(…) Thank you to all the supporters who help us to continue this training every year and to move forward step by step. Without our supporters this would not be possible. There are people who see how it all happens and support to the best of their abilities”.
We are thrilled to be part of the support team, as a law firm, helping with any legal concerns so that Dāvis and his team can continue to provide free training, inspiration and hope to those who need it most, so that we can make sport accessible to everyone.
